What Is It?

Depression is defined as a feeling of severe despondency and dejection. About 9% of the U.S. population suffers from it annually. Many symptoms include and are not limited to decreased energy, hopelessness, the overwhelming feeling of being alone, decreased energy and fatigue, loss of motivation, weight changes, pessimism, difficulty in thinking and pleasure and the worst being thoughts of suicide and death. 

Tips

  • Surround yourself around the peopole you love and are comfortable with. Find someone who is willing to listen.

  • Try to be social (even if you don't feel like it)

​

  • Try keeping Conversations on a face-to-face basis. This is important to lessen the depression.

​

  • Try interacting with pets. Although human interactions are as important, pets can also make you feel less lonely.
